The Servicemen’s Readjustment Act or G.I Bill provided American WWII veterans with financial assistance for education, unemployment, and housing. It reintegrated veterans back into the United States.

The GI Bill of Rights, was paramount in helping veterans readjust to civilian life. The act provided the necessary funds to progress in civilian society and helped approximately 8 million veterans.
